CONGRATULATIONS to our boys tennis team making Academic All State again this year. MHSAA has recognized the students who have excelled in the classroom as well as in athletic competition. Individuals are selected for this award on the basis of their athletic ability and academic proficiency.

Congratulations to Kobe Anthony! Honorable Mention in the Detroit Free Press as he had a 95-yard interception return for a touchdown and a 41-yard rushing score for Avondale in the school’s 45-6 victory over Hazel Park in last Friday’s Varsity Football Game.
Congratulations to the Avondale Tennis Team! For the first time in our history, our boy’s tennis team won the MHSAA Regional Tennis Championship at North Farmington High School. By taking first, the ENTIRE team qualifies for the State meet! Nathan Reichenbach secured the first spot to States by qualify for the final at #1 Singles.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! Senior Derrick Hinton named Detroit Free Press Player of the Week for the 2nd time! Derrick hauled in a 53-yard touchdown catch and added a 49-yard rushing score in the Jacket 34-12 defeat of Royal Oak on Friday!
After an undefeated regular season dual match season, the Boys tennis team secured 1st place at the OAA Blue tournament on Thursday. Singles Flight champions were Abhi Nuthalapati and Thomas Quach. Singles runnerups were Nathan Reichenbach and Vivek Chanduri. Flight Runnerups were the teams of Ben Gratsch/Max Mulka and Brendon Down/Max Cramer
